Summer Research Application
My first project, at New Media Studio, was with UMBC’s College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences (CNMS). The project was to convert the paper and person intensive application process, for the Summer Research Program, into an online application for the students to go along with a backend to reduce the tedious work for the CNMS.
I designed the multi-page web form which was based on the multi-paged paper application for the students. Since the CNMS was newly created and without a visual identify, I used CSS to design the form to be easily updatable by their web designer.
Although I did not work on the backend system, I did coordinate my work with a programmer who was creating the backend.
